| Success before the Austrian Supreme Court regarding a tax recharge to energy consumers (“Gebrauchsabgabe”) | |
In cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce, we had conducted several test cases on behalf of enterprises situated in the periphery of Vienna against the Viennese power system operator regarding the admissibility of a further charging of a tax charged by the city of Vienna for the use of public grounds for the power distribution network. In 2009 we finally succeeded before the Austrian Supreme Court. The Viennese power system operator had to pay back an amount of EUR 26 million to 20.000 enterprises and 350.000 household customers. |
