We represented several major whisky producers against an Austrian enterprise that had bottled synthetic alcohol in aluminum cans, pre-labeled with various well-know whisky trademarks, and shipped these cans to middle east countries, where these whisky trademarks were not protected. The Supreme Court confirmed that even the mere bottling of the fake whisky in pre-labeled cans without selling these products in Austria constitutes a trademark infringement.
